Libya Security Brief

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advise against all travel to Libya due to the ongoing fighting, threat of terrorist attacks and kidnap against foreigners, including from Daesh-affiliated extremists (formerly referred to as ISIS), and a dangerous security situation throughout the country.

Syria Security Brief

WARNING: Travel to Syria is VERY STRONGLY DISCOURAGED due to an ONGOING CIVIL WAR. Since 2011, unrest within the country has continued to intensify and nearly 300,000 people have been killed. Government security forces and the various rebel groups are engaged in open warfare in many rural and urban areas.

Pakistan Security Brief

The presence of several foreign and indigenous terrorist groups poses a danger throughout Pakistan (not in The Capital). Across the country, terrorist attacks frequently occurred against civilians, government, and a very few foreigners.

The ongoing civil war in Syria has provided space for Daesh to expand and the group declared a caliphate in seized territory in Iraq and Syria in June 2014.
