‘Under President Trump’s reinvigorated Foreign Policy in Afghanistan, a record number of airstrikes were conducted since the height of the Afghanistan War in 2010. The effect of the strikes in concert with the relaxing of the Rule of Engagement will likely result in a reduction of Taliban held territory from the current 41%. The results however will survive only the length of the campaign unless organic security infrastructure is improved to ensure ground secured can be held against.’
